Welcome to
Newburgh, one of Scotlands best kept secrets.
Nestling
at the south side of the Ythan estuary, the village is the perfect destination for
walkers, golfers, bird watchers, wind surfers, fishermen and holiday makers.
There are salmon and sea trout in the river, seals bask on the banks, eider
duck fish for mussels and, for the keen birdwatcher, there is a huge variety
of seabirds.
The
challenging 18 hole golf course is among the best links courses in the
country. In the magnificent clubhouse with its excellent facilities and views
over the surrounding countryside, the golfer can enjoy much needed
refreshment.
Walkers
can choose to explore the superb tracks across Forvie Nature Reserve or
stroll along river banks of an evening before retiring for supper in the Ythan Hotel or the Udny Arms. Alternatively, there are twelve miles of
unspoilt beach right on the doorstep.
Newburgh
has so much to offer everyone so do come for a visit. You wont be
disappointed. |
